Heute habe ich den französischen Tramper wiedergetroffen. Er hat freudestrahlend erzählt, dass er hier in Wellington ein nettes Mädchen kennengelernt hat und jetzt bei ihr wohnt. Eigentlich hätte er heute die Fähre nehmen wollen, aber jetzt müsse er mal sehen, vielleicht morgen…. Ich sollte ihn eher Casanova taufen. Romeo hatte bloß eine, oder? Das war doch das Problem….

Today I met the French hitchhiker, whom I had picked up earlier in the week. He was happy to tell, that he has met this nice girl here in Wellington and stays at her place. Actually he had wanted to catch the ferry to the south island today but now he might maybe try tomorrow… I call him Casanova from now on. Romeo had only one Julia as far as I know…
