Über mich – about me

After some years of working as a teacher I had had enough of my desk and wanted to be far away from it all: A sabbatical had enabled me to do what I like most, being outdoors, having no fix dates apart from the odd departure time of an airplane or a ferry, having new experiences and discovering places, tramping, climbing, making music, spending time at a bonfire and being happy about all the possibilities ahead of me. This blog contains photos from places all around the world and texts that I wrote during my travels. Since I have started my traveling in August I have realised that writing and taking pictures has changed my attitude towards things. I have started to look at my surroundings in a different way, relish it more and enjoy the writing as a process very much. Over the past four years I found myself another task - I bought an old house with a cherry tree. So we were really busy to renovate it and to pick cherries, make cake and jam or carry buckets with rubbish or tiles or whatever from A to B and from B to A. It would definitely have been interesting to write on the ongoing renovations, but there was simply no time for nothing. Now the great tasks are about to be finished and while the last bills arrive, the last two weeks at school draw to a close as well. And then enter Sabbatical no. 2! So from the middle of September on we will be on the road again - and this blog will see some more action again.

  1. Hallo Petra.

Viel Erfolg!
