Die neuen Seile sind da! Frauen bestellen Seile natürlich nicht nur nach Funktionalität (in meinem Fall leicht und dünn, weil sie ja mit dem Zeltgeraffel ins Gepäck müssen, Einsatzgebiet cleane Mehrseillängen im schottischen Hinterland mit Hilfe von vier kaputten Knien), sondern auch nach Farbe – ein Paar in den neckischen Farben gelb und blau gab es am Schluss dann doch noch. Während andere Frauen bei Schuhen auf die passende Farbe zur Handtasche achten, habe ich …. nun ja. Ehrlich gesagt – sie passen tatsächlich zu meiner einzigen Handtasche. Die Seile meine ich. Einweihung war in Arco in verschiedenen Mehrseillängen. Einmal haben wir es sogar geschafft, einen Seilball zu produzieren – davon gibt es kein Photo, aber das Gefühl, mit einem zwei Kilo schweren Ball am Gurt eine 6 hochzuklettern, ist keines, das ich jemals vergessen werde.

The new ropes have arrived! And we have to try them out. They are ideal and they go perfectly with the rest of my gear – I am female after all. And even though I can usually resist buying shoes in accordance to my handbag (that is due to the fact, that I have no handbag – although – now that I think of it – I have one and it goes very well with the ropes, too!) – in gear I usually try to buy according to my liking. In the end I found a blue and a yellow one, light weight, because they are supposed to come into the scottish hinterland with me, my camping gear and the trad gear – and this will be carried by two sets of weak knees! So we tried them out in Arco, Italy. We actually managed well, apart from one time, when we produced a magnificent ball with the rope – weighing about 2 kg and dangling of my belt, while I tried to scale a 5c. Something to remember….
